Dr. Emily Frazier- Rath

While I’m still the Executive Director of Education Initiatives for the BHGRA, I am no longer a college professor. Instead, I’ve started a new chapter in my professional life with the launch of Frazier-Rath Editing (www.emilyfrazierrath.com), where I’m building a business that allows me to live a life more aligned with my values. I now spend the majority of my (much more balanced) career life helping anyone who wants to get their voice heard and share their ideas, as they refine their writing and strengthen their message.

Writing and editing have always brought me joy, and my latest venture beautifully blends the things that truly fulfill me: helping others, balancing both the big picture and the finer details, enhancing how we communicate, and fostering meaningful connections with people and communities.

 Although I hold a Ph.D. in German Studies and an M.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, I have 15 years of experience editing for and supporting writers working on many (many) different topics and in a variety of fields, not only those I’m trained in.  

 A priority of mine is to support projects that speak to the BGHRA’s mission. Therefore, I will donate 10% of the proceeds I receive from projects completed for people who reach out to me from our BGHRA community to the BGHRA. This will hopefully help cover the monthly operating costs for the BGHRA, as well as to support our programming going forward.
