Jamele Watkins is a PhD student at UMass Amherst. Her focus is Afro-German theater. She received her M.A. at UMass Amherst in German with a focus on German film, minority literature, and transnationalism.
She has spent two academic years in at Universität Tübingen and Universität Freiburg.
