Sara Pugach

Sara Pugach is assistant professor of history at California State University, Los Angeles. She is the author of Africa in Translation: A History of Colonial Linguistics in Germany and Beyond, 1814-1945, which was published by the University of Michigan Press earlier this year. Recently she began a new project on the experience of African students in the German Democratic Republic.
