Berlin · Libraries, education & empowerment
Each One Teach One (EOTO) e.V. is a community-based education and empowerment organization in Berlin-Wedding. Founded in 2012, it opened its neighborhood library in 2014 and connects literature, arts, political education, youth work, and advocacy.
At the heart of its work is a library rooted in the collection of Afro-German activist Vera Heyer. Books and archival materials document Black histories and contemporary life in Germany and across the African diaspora. EOTO also organizes the AFROLUTION literature and culture festival.
Its youth programs and EACH ONE anti-discrimination project connect cultural knowledge with practical support. EOTO is especially relevant to readers interested in community archives, intergenerational learning, and the relationship between Black knowledge production and public life.
