Toxi Transposed? Branwen Okpako’s Tal der Ahnungslosen
Michelle René Eley is an Assistant Professor of German in the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures at North Carolina State University. Her current research focuses on race, gender and tactics of political resistance. Her dissertation “Schwarzsein, Weißsein, Deutschsein: Narrating Identity in German Film after 1950” considers filmic presentations of Black experiences in the context of German discourses about racial and national identity. Michelle teaches courses in German Studies and Film Studies and received her Ph.D. in German Studies from Duke University.
