Afro-/Black Germans in Exilic Heimat
Vanessa Plumly is a fourth year PhD candidate at the University of Cincinnati writing her dissertation on the topic of Post-Wende Afro-/Black German Cultural Productions and the discursive formation of nation, Heimat, and diaspora therein, as well as the performance thereof. She has served as Co-Editor of the German Studies graduate student journal Focus on German studies for the past two years and will spend the coming year in Berlin on a research stipend.
